Snowflake challenge Day 5

Day 05: In your own space, post recs for at least three fanworks that you did not create.

This is easy, I shall rec things that were written as gifts for me!

1. Romeo and Ethel the Pirate's Daughter: Draft 2 (With Comments) (901 words) by ryfkah
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Shakespeare in Love (1998)
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Romeo Montague, Benvolio Montague, Mercutio (Romeo and Juliet), Ethel the Pirate's Daughter, William Shakespeare, Philip Henslowe
Additional Tags: Screenplay/Script Format, Abandoned Work - Unfinished and Discontinued

What has occurred to bring me to this pass?
For on my life, I cannot make it out.

This one, I got for the Invisible Library exchange, where you have to write fic for things that don't exist In the real world, such as William Shakespeare's sadly lost early work Romeo and Ethel The Pirate's Daughter from Shakespeare in Love. The work is not only in pentameter, but it has the poet's original mistakes and redraft in it, so there are bits that have been crossed out, verses that aren't finished because he's trying to decide on a word (naturally scribbled in the margins) plus annotations from Henslowe, the long-suffering editor of our beloved poet. It's really fun and I re-read it regularly whenever I need a giggle.

2. Rrh-thanai (4487 words) by Sineala
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Star Trek: Rihannsu - Diane Duane
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Ael i-Mhiessan t'Rllaillieu, Spock, Arrhae i-Khellian t'Llhweiir, Ffairl, Aidoann t'Khnialmnae
Additional Tags: Post-Canon, Diplomacy, Telepathy

After the war, Ael welcomes the Federation to ch'Rihan.

My first ever Yuletide gift. I fell in LOVE with Rihannsu that year and requested fic about Ael and Spock. The yulegoat provided and gave me a fic full of everything I love about Ael and Spock's dynamic. I was over the moon when I got it and I am still so happy whenever I remember that it exists.

3. Hollowed-By-Love (1296 words) by fresne
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Midsummer Night's Dream - Shakespeare
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Relationships: Oberon/Puck, Oberon/Titania
Characters: Indian Youth (Midsummer Night's Dream)
Additional Tags: Yuletide Treat, Yuletide 2013, Shakespeare, Cat2, Literature

Puck knew full well that King Oberon, inconstant as the seasons, in that he changed constantly, would accept nothing less than everything. Puck gave that and more.

This one has Puck as the jealous lover who gets back at both Oberon and Titania by seducing the Indian boy. I love this exploration of his character and the extension of his story beyond the play. Oberon is really manipulative to Puck, or at least he can be played that way, and he is like that here. I am a big fan of Puck and was very happy when I got this!
